First look at the new sunspot. Need to do something about the uneven elumination.

Thanks Dan,
In my image as WL, I also (in the 5-minute slot available) wasn't able to fine tune the image with the central-region slightly over-exposes,
but whether the AVI files will do any better - is yet to be seen.
I assume your image is Ha, where I also have to get the Etelons just correct to stop than bright-banding...

Best Wishes and Clear Skies
Terry

Hi Dan

Is that a single or double stack ? Trey setting the etalons 90° to each other.

BTW, You imaged tomorrow's Sun

Uneven illumination is often a problem I have in my Coronados. Especially my SolarMax II 60. The SMII90 seems much better but still has it at times.

Nice FD image,Dan, despite the banding.

As others have alluded to, fine tuning and ‘clocking’ the front etalon will help reduce this effect.

Good disk Dan. Try a little less tilt on the external etalon to get the image more even.
