First picture: June 7th
Hi all
Just wanted to share my astro first picture (yay ! ) taken with my Lunt. I received the ZWO ASI174+SolarQuest last Saturday, and the attached picture was taken the next morning. After watching Mark Townley’s and Wise imaging tutorials (SharpCap, AutoStakkert, and RegiStax), here is the result. Amazing how much more details you get after processing the image.
I've got a lot to learn, but I am loving it!
Thanks!
Frank

Very nice first image, Frank.
I'm sure you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of solar astronomy.

Re: First picture: June 7th
Very good. Could it be that you used a high gamma setting while recording your images ? I see the grey a bit washed out.

Re: First picture: June 7th
Thank you!
@Rainier, I don't remember modifying the Gamma, but it's quite possible, thanks for the helpful remark; I will keep that in mind next time.
