The Sun - 13th June 2020

Post by David_The_Bears_Fan » Sat Jun 13, 2020 4:26 pm

Forecast was for clear skies from the off today but that didn't work out. By the time the skies cleared the seeing was rather poor and the wind had picked up. Almost switched to the Bresser as the Evostar was struggling in the wind but decided to persevere.

The usual 6 pane Ca-K FD

And some small proms, shot without binning today and in monochrome just for a change.

And last but not least a close up of AR12765 in white light @2500mm FL

Forecast looks promising tomorrow for one last look at AR12765 before it moves out of sight.

David,
It looks like you have gotten a good comprehensive capture of the sun. I especially like the first CaK image.

Nice imaging. Looks like it's time to say goodbye to that sunspot.

Beautiful CAK images, David.

Unfortunately it rained yesterday and again this morning. Looks like I will miss the AR.
