Sun glorious Sun 31st July 2020

Post by Montana »

Finally some sunshine and a glorious prominence. Only processed this one so far, I have more Halpha, CaK and WL to come but if I don't post this now I probably never will :) even did some testing of the C11

Best viewed if you click through to Flickr and zoom in. I have no idea what the colour or contrast of these image are! I hope they look OK

Plenty of action there Alexandra - thanks. There's even more plag coming over the north-eastern limb...

Glorious full disk! Great definition on the filaments and that fantastic LARGE AR. In fact, it reminds me of the solar equivalent of the Perseus Double Cluster.

Love it!

That is one fantastic full disk, Alexandra. I opened it full size on a large screen and it shows all that is going on on the sun right now, active areas, 2767, filaments, the tower prom and a very detailed chromosphere. Beautifully done. I can't wait to see what else you have...
