WEDNESDAY 12th August'20 - NEW AR in the S.E. Quadrant

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY » Wed Aug 12, 2020 12:40 pm

It seems that few have noticed that there are clearly two AR regions in the South-East of the disk.

What appears to be a possible Spot-cluster is just within the limb and likely to be AR2771.

And on the limb/edge a further region of activity...

I thought at first there might be some spots on my pc-screen, but not this time...

AR2770 is getting quite small and faint, compared to a few days ago.

What that space..

Terry

Looks to be a pair of spots (hopefully) developing.

Hi all
An image taken today of the new active area in the SE (may be AR12771) seems to be developing nicely but no spots yet.

cheers Rod

There seem to be three developing ARs in the south east which is excellent news :hamster:
