AR2781 in action - November 4, 2020

Post by ffellah »

Hello all: I took some time before work this morning to image this new, exciting AR and a nearby filament. These are the first two images processed, showing major flaring. Seeing was below average.

Thank you very much Dan, Stu and Mark. Mark: these were taken with the HaT and a newly acquired Quark Combo. My Solar Spectrum 0.3a filter crashed 14 months ago: the temporary replacement he sent me six months ago crashed two months ago. So, while waiting for a good SS filter to come back, I had to get myself a Quark to continue imaging in Ha.

Great images, Franco, well resolved and processed :bow I too had a Combo, much impressed by the quality, better than standard version.

Franco,
Great looking images and equipment. Seems like the Combo is working well and on band with the temperature set to mid range. I consider that a good sign with room to shift into both wings. Just shook my head hearing about your SS etalons.
