A clear day today but the air was rough due to wind. These single exposure images show the southern hemisphere of the Sun with AR 2795 and 2794.
First two images are at Ha wavelength thru a Lunt 100 Ha scope, the third is thru a WO 81 mm scope with herschel wedge at 540 nm showing the sunspots. Canon 550d camera. Thanks for viewing.

Re: 29th Dec Sun images
Hi John,
You must be glad to have the nice images despite the seeing condition. I believe you will get even nicer images with a CMOS/CCD camera.
Please keep the images coming.
Alfred

Re: 29th Dec Sun images
Thank you everyone for your comments. It is a challenge to take single exposure images with a dslr camera - you don't just put a camera to the telescope and go click. It takes a bit of processing to get the image right. I take all my images (inc. dso) by dslr as I enjoy it. I have tried ccd cameras but I prefer my dslr's as I often get different images to others. Cheers for the new year - lets hope it is a good one.
