Calcium Sun 9th Jan 2021

Post by Carbon60 » Sat Jan 09, 2021 1:14 pm

Just a quick calcium II K line image during a brief period of sunshine this morning. It confirms what we already know..... that the Sun has gone asleep again as cycle 25 stutters into life.

72mm Altair Lightwave scope with a Lunt B1800 module, Calcium K-line and Omega filter optical train.
2.5 x Barlow
Basler acA1920-155um camera
3 Pane mosaic.

Very nice CaK discs Stuart. They do show the sun is truly asleep.

Yes, but, this is something in the south east :)

A lovely CaK image, you certainly get cracking images from your CaK set up :bow :hamster:
