Well other than the excellent AR2797 keeping those with clear-skies busy,
A northern AR is approaching the East/N.E. Limb and certainly does look as if it will give us something to see in around +2 days time.
As Mark T., mentioned, there have been a number of small AR's in and around the limb, but these seems to be degrading somewhat and yet still might produce something later as that area crosses the disk.
Cheers and CLEAR SKIES.
Terry

Thanks Terrry. Everything on the edge of the fov of stereo always seems bigger than it is - perspective and all that! The area in the north appears it will be a small area of page, maybe some spots.

Re: 19-01-2021 A NORTHERN AR IS APPROACHING
Thanks Mark and yes that is correct about the size of oncoming AR's which do appear bigger than they end-up being by the time they appear for us to see.
Thanks James and certainly with the low-down Sun of recent, it at least gives me something to do instead of imaging. (I can't 9n any case see sufficiently to do imaging anyway at present. But I am working indoors with the ETX-125 and the Revolution R2 Imaging System plus different cameras and focal-reducers etc., to see if they can be utilised with the new proposed mini-observatory - ready for both Solar, Lunar and Planetary imaging in the future (all year round too)...
Thanks Eric and you certainly have captured some well-nice shots today..
Thanks also to Alexandra.
Cheers
