March 20 2021 Imaging. Spring Equinox
Here is the results from the imaging component of my observing session already posted from earlier today. The proms turned out ok but I wasn't really happy with the disc shots. There wasn't much there to image and the seeing was terrible.
I imaged using the Coronado SolarMax II 90 ( Ha ) and the Orion70 ( WL ) with the ZWO ASI178MM monochrome camera.

I think you're being a bit hard on yourself there, James.
Prom shots are great. The disk shots are nice and even up to the limb, so you definitely did a great job on those. The lesser detail just comes with the seeing; not much you can do about that.

I agree with Jochen, you're being hard on yourself, considering you're new to imaging they're very good.

Re: March 20 2021 Imaging. Spring Equinox
Thanks everyone. I wasn’t really upset with myself it was the seeing that annoyed me. The limb shimmered in waves and the disc was noticeably fuzzy, even visually. I am surprised they did as good as they did, especially the proms. I was just hoping I would have a few sharper frames.
The sun may resist light pollution and some cloudiness but seeing is it’s nemesis!!
Thanks for the compliments fellas.

Hi James...
Your images turned out well...as others have said. As you are still learning, I'd call it a job well done

Really nice results in spite of seeing.
Keep on imaging.
Best wishes.

These are terrific James, the proms are out of this world when the seeing is bad we all get frustrated.

Thanks Alexandra. It seems seeing is always poor lately. I just have to make the best of what I have.
