Images from island of La Palma, Canary Islands.

Post by solarGain »

Fourth attempt now to get my images in the right order and not to have duplications of the photos.

I do hope you like this from 2020. One or at most two days of very good seeing in all of four months. The weather was the worst in many years.

All the best
John

From La Palma in November, the captures are excellent and well done on eventually getting them to SolarChat.

Great shots!
What was the aperture? 100 mm?

Do you capture from near sea level, or do you drive to some viewpoint on the volcano?

These are very nice images! Awesome resolution. What wavelength is this? It looks like a CaK or at least a K-band image.

I remember this system. Here is an image I took of it that day using my iPhone and 70mm Orion refractor.

GreatAttractor, we are at some 230m above sea level. Yes it was a 100mm William Optics.
DeepSolar64, Ca-k wavelength. Nice shot for white light!
Indeed everyone thank you for all your comments.
I've set up late today, and have been testing out new configuration around a CR150 (nice scope), I can now get my Safix working with this 150mm telescope.
All the best
John
