Well done that James. You are certainly getting to grips so well with the imaging-side and these examples are fabulous.

Thanks for sharing

One way or the other James, you have certainly excelled so far, so congrats there and I imagine the new ASI 178mm is helping too.

Thanks Terry, it's sure a learning experience and is time-consuming. I gotta learn how to get better results faster. And how do you get active regions to " pop ". To stand out? In some other's images they stand out brighter than their surroundings. In mine you can see them but they blend in too much. I still haven't figured that out.

Hi

Very good images.

The 'down wind' part was connected when I viewed earlier.

Cheers. Andrew.

Yes James, can be time-consuming, (but usually better than some TV progs)...

Remember, some who are excellent at processing do superimpose images to bring-out proms and sfc-detail, which is a fine way of showing all in one pic.

Also adjusting/tweaking those Etalons is so important to bring-out whichever detail one is interested in for both visual and imaging. Then when processing, Brightness/Contrast/Gamma and no doubt other adjustments will often bring-out other invisible detail to the fore.

Also of course camera adjustments primarily to the download program/on-screen in use will also affect what is available to process as above.

Practice and learning-curves is the key.

Regards
Terry
