Dark filament on the NE
Still no spots today, and few faculae only. Looking through my Lunt 50 I noted a dark filament close to the NE limb so I decided to take a closer view. This time I used a Celestron XLT 100ED scope modified with the Lunt PT module, seeing was only slightly less than awful nevertheless it was worth of a try. Thanks for looking.

That's an excellent image Raf, almost has a double stack look to it.

Re: Dark filament on the NE
Thanks.
The behaviour of my PT is very erratic, sometimes is disappointing sometimes is similar to having a DS. Surely it is temperature-dependent and I noted also that between the original B600 and the the B1200 I purchased later there is a significant difference.marktownley wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 8:19 amThat's an excellent image Raf, almost has a double stack look to it.
