I need to focus 35mm behind my OTA if attaching a PST and decided to try and rig and adapter. I cut a small disk out of oak and then used a 2" male conduit adapter (with ring) that would secure it to the disk. I am trying to resist the urge to cut the PST gold tube as it hits an inner OTA reducer about 1" shy of what I need to slip the entire gold pst tube inside the OTA at the correct focal point. I have the 2" front etalon adapter coming but it's a week out. Any reason to keep the gold tube anyway? Anyone make metal adapters like this?
