Avistack2 Video Tutorial

Post by marktownley »

Hi Folks.

Lots of newcomers often ask about how to use / setup avistack 2 for their solar imaging, so thought would put together a video tutorial to give a bit of insight...

Hope is of use,

Mark :)

Hi Mark

Thank you for that, very, very useful.

Can you please tell me how to convert Canon video into .avi format for use in this?

Got a slight problem, getting a codec not recognized message; what does this mean?

That be the canon format its recording in. You need a freeware converter to change it into something that avistack can read...

Canon records in .mov (QuickTime) converted it in MPEG Streamclip 1.2 to .avi, but still does not like it, ran it through VirtualDub, ,avi ti ,avi and it loads into AviStaki2
