Lunt prices going up?

Post by Bill E. »

Well I was on The Lunt site yesterday and I noticed the price on many(non entry) scopes went up by around $250.I did notice the price on one item went down(LS60f) I guess it is a sign of the times."Woodland Hills" still has old pricing if you are in the market.

Price rises are never good - Lunt prices here in the UK are just 'astronomical' compared to what you would pay for the same unit in the US...

I ordered an LS80 on January 3rd at the older price and put a deposit on it. I hope this doesn't change.

Mark, Just looked at Lunt prices in UK...Ouch...Buying in US, would save you enough to pay for a vacation here.
Chuck, They must honor your contract price. ;)

A few of my friends here in the UK have found it cheaper to buy from America, even with the import tax, vat and shipping costs, still save a lot of money.

Bill, I am sure they will. Otherwise they would not have contracted with me. I really am not worried. The worst part is the wait. :(

Well, I like Mark's idea.

We're planning a leisure road trip that will take us very near Atlanta toward the end of April, maybe a stop by your store would fit in.

I'm still trying to decide on a refractor but have put off making a decision until my observatory is complete and I see how it accepts my present telescope.

I will never have a store and am not interested in selling scopes or anything else. I prefer to give them away...

This will be a club member perk only.

Of course, you're always welcome at my house...:)
