One Nice Day

Post by Derek Klepp »

Taking a leaf out of Alexanra's book I decided to have the day off today.Breakfast out, Solar observing, garden duties(no tree pruning today) ,fishing with my son(caught some) now reading and posting a few pics on Solarchat while enjoying a glass of red(a Shiraz).
I managed a brief window between showers this morning and although the seeing was unsteady I tried using a 1.6x extender(binoviewer type)+ the 5x Powermate. There was a definite dark spot but still
got a result then backed the magnification off and enjoyed the view.Since those up north are snowed in I'll post a few. Note I generally just orientate them so they are more pleasing to my eye.My apologies to those who appreciate correct positioning.
