Half Disk H-Alpha Mosaic 17th Feb

Post by edobosz »

Hi All
Finally got around to processing this data. It is a 4 panel mosaic. I'm not that fond of multipanel mosaic's at this size (2.5x powermate)because rarely does the seeing stay steady enough to not have dud panels and the usual stitching headaches.

After I got the 4th panel the wobbles kicked in. Anyway the data was good enough for reasonably consistent stitched segments. Sun has been tipped in orientation to suit screen fit :). Taken with the usual gear. I think it came up well, I hope you enjoy it.

PS slightly adjusted the contrast and reloded image.

Thanks guys for your comments. I actually went back and adjusted the contrast on this image. Sometimes you just get caught up in one part of the processing like the stitching.

ok Montana I'll grab a piccy for the profile :)
