Interesting to see how quickly AR 11422 developed. There was a single pore in 20120218:

That's a great comparison Pedro! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some clear skies this weekend - would be nice to get some solar in before the month end... :)

Only stardust in the wind, some fine and some less fine scopes, filters and adapters as well. Switzerland 47 N, 9 E, in the heart of EUROPE :)

That is quite a phenomenal development overnight!

However, if you measure the distance from the bottom spot to the active region I think baby AR11422 is just off the photo to the left in the first picture? (if the image scale is the same)

Yes! excellent, I was surprised that there wouldn't be at least a pore visible, this confirms it.
