Feb 19th Images

Post by MapleRidge »

Hello everyone...

Here are some images from Sunday. Seeing was decent, and I had time to grab images over the better part of 2 hrs which allowed me to get Ha, CaK, and White Light images too. These pics were resized 50% smaller before posting, and all were imaged with a Infinity 2-1M camera.

Below is the full disk Ha through the LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha + 0.8x reducer +

Full Disk CaK with William Optics 72mm, f6 + B1200CaK

Full Disk White Light with William Optics 72mm, f6 + Baader Continuum Filter + B1200CaK

Below is the NW quadrant in Ha, with LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha + 2x teleconverter

Below is the souther disk in Ha, with LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha + 2x teleconverter

Last, the NW quadrant in CaK, using the C102, f9.8 refractor + B1200CaK module

That's it for now...will work on Mondays images later tonight.

Questionn and comments are always welcome,
Brian

Excellent series. Love that filament/prom on the 2nd last image hanging off the disk. Thanks!

Wonderful series! I really enjoyed them, however they are a wee bit small! Is it possible to post the full size version?

If they are getting rejected I've found it doesn't seem to like TIFF images, if they are changed to JPEGs they seem to go through fine.

Regards
Alexandra

the forum allows tif or tiff images. Its just that I am still working on trying to allow 3MB plus images..

If you have several large images it always accepts hyperlinked images, or if you upload them one at a time and then edit the post to add another it works fine.

Of course, most monitors can only display 72dpi in reality so it doesn't matter if you post one of 10,000,000 dpi, it still only displays it at a lower resolution. You get to zoom in farther though with a high res image.

by the way, there is no need to downsize the images if they are within reason, the software does it automatically. This aint cloudy nights, I WANT you to post hi res stuff..:)
