Odds and Ends
Hi all just thought I'd post some pics of my set up I know there's a post here somewhere but couldn't track it down. Firstly here's the back yard. The 2 steel tracks you see in the pics are where my Dob rolls out
Next here is the Lunt 100 with cables off to the control centre
And here is the control centre

Re: Odds and Ends
Cool setup Derek! No wonder you are able to get such high mag shots of the sun with it that high in the sky and surrounded by all those trees...

Re: Odds and Ends
Nice set up, but way too many cables to trip on. I want a setup just like yours! :cheer:

Re: Odds and Ends
Hi Derek:
Fantastic setup. I confess that I do all my Deep-Sky imaging remotely (WiFi Connection to my Roll-off-roof) but as far as sun imaging is concerned I like to be close to the scope (inside a dome). Great stuff.

Hi Derek:
Whicj system you use to focus the Lunt 100 remotely? I guess you have a feathertouch focuser. Do you have a motorized FT focuser?

Re: Odds and Ends
The focuser is not motorised I focus using a monitor just inside the shed . Then go into the shed to capture. Yes Chris your right too many cables I,ll have to duct them. Thanks all for the feedback .

Re: Odds and Ends
Thanks Derek - it is good to see set ups.
When I grow up our next house will be purchased with 2 criteria - close to the city and a place for a small solar observatory......one day!
