AR1422 with more detail

Post by AndrevdHoeven »

I did some reprocessing on my earlier image of AR1422 and used some layering techniques to show some more details in the core of the sunspot.

The image was made using an ED110 with a powermate 5x and a DMK21-618. Processing was done with autostakkert V2.

That looks great! The conditions must have been OK for a 5x Powermate? The granulation looks nice and even across the image - congratulations on the reprocess.

You really picked out the internal detail in the spots. Nice!

Great image, how do you focus using a 5X?

I use first the solar limb to focus and then I do fine focusing on the granulation.....

Wonderful work! such a joy to see close up spots :)

To be picky I would just lower the brightness down a little and I think then more detail will show :)

Alexandra
