Old (Feb 21st) Prominence Reprocessed

Post by andreahaku »

Rainy day here and so I decided to reprocess some of my best images using what I've learned so far.

Here's a prominence I took 5 days ago, Feb 21st.

How it is now:

How it was before:

I reprocessed many more but this is one of my favourites.

Thanks everyone for helping me in making that step forward.

Looks good! Did you apply a feather on the new version at the boundary with the dancing ants when you processed it?

You're too kind. Yours prominences are already very good to me.

dancing ants? :?

Sorry, the dotted line you get when you use the magic wand to select a region... You've got quite a distinct processing line on the disk / spicule boundary - if you feathered this selection, say 100 pixels, it would remove it.

You're right.. I should have used some feather but I didn't and there's a distinctive line. If I'll decide to re-re-process it I'll do for sure :D
