March 3rd Huge Sunspot Mosaic

Post by andreahaku »

Hi everyone,

I had the chance to take a quick set of shots in HA to the new huge sunspots coming. In the next days it'll be cloudy and rainy here so I had to take something now :)

Processing has also been made very fast.

In the coming days I'll reprocess the images.

Have a great weekend!
Andrea

Hi Andrea

a great mosaic. Me too, I take the chance if there is a sunray and I'm at home, no question how the seeing is.

I work from home so it's quite easy for me to find a few mins to take some shot.

But now I want to build a semi definitive setup so that I don't have to the mount and the telescope in and out.

I take shots from a not so big terrace. It's the only one I have pointing South so I have the Sun for the whole day. But not easy to find a way to close and protect the mount. I'll probably go with something easy.

No. All the HA images are taken with the Vixen A80M PST Mod phase 2 ;)

The XLT 120 is used only for white light with Herschel wedge.

Thanks Andrea. Lovely image and perspective of the region of interest. Looking forward to see how this develops.

Great mosaic - the colour is very pleasing on my laptop - there is some really fine detail around the AR!
