ATTENTION MEMBERS! It is with great pride that I announce that through our joint support of this program I am able to announce another winner of the Jon Wood Outreach Award for 2014!
James W. Ambrister and Anita Banks Ambrister are members of the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project in Oxford, Alabama. They are great folk and routinely spead the love of science and art to the young people in and around their lovely Southern town. They have been awarded a Lunt LS152 White Light Setup with 2 inch Lunt Solar wedge along with a Celestron CGEM mount and ADM dual mounting plate, valued at $3800(US) so that they may increase the capacity of their events. Please join me in congratulating James and Anita for a job well done and encouragement to keep going! Grassroots Astronomy Outreach at its best here...
