Space Day at San Diego Aerospace Museum
Mt good friend Astrodanco invited me to mingle with San Diego Astronomy Association members at Space day. It was a wonderful event. Clear blue sky and just the right amount of people. 6 or 7 SDAA members’ provided scopes ranging from PST’s to Astrodancos magnificent Lunt 80 and 100mm Ha scopes. I had the PST and the Quark attached to the Celestron 102. My son passed out 65 pairs of CBSAP solar glasses to kids and parents.
Didn’t take many pics as we were all busy at the scopes sharing views of the sun and discussing as much info as we could in the 10 or 15 seconds we had with each person.
Between us all well over 300 people must have passed through the viewing area.
Here is a few pics just before it got going and just after. Our own Astrodanco had the honor of being the first and last presenter on and off the field. The big Lunts are always a hit.

Gotta say the event organizers were as wonderful as the weather. They supplied us with water, food and profuse and earnest thanks at the end of the event. A hardy thanks to them.
