CBSAP at the Hertsmonceux Astronomy Festival
CBSAP will be represented and will be doing outreach at the Hertsmonceux astronomy festival, based no less than the Royal Greenwich Observatory. Myself and Gary Palmer will be there all weekend, and will have a CBSAP stall courtesy of Steve Collingwood of SCTelescopes http://sctelescopes.com/
In addition forum member Rupert of Astrograph http://astrograph.net/ is also sponsoring us to attempt the worlds largest solar image - a mosaic of absolutely huge proportions - stay tuned!
There are lectures throughout the weekend from a variety of famous faces including Dr Lucie Green, Nik Symanek and forum member Pete Lawrence...
In addition:
Grand opening on Friday evening with keynote speaker Professor Donald Lynden-Bell
5 lectures on Saturday
5 lectures on Sunday
Talks about the telescopes in Dome E
Viewing through the historic telescopes (weather permitting)
Viewing through smaller telescopes with amateur astronomy societies (weather permitting)
