Im mailing out glasses next week. Who needs some?
Since I am going to be spending a bunch on shipping for the Indiian project Im also going to send out a bunch of glasses and stuff next week so if anyone needs some glasses or something else, let me know ASAP.
I also have a Flea II monochrome camera if anyone has a need for it to use in outreach. I dont have software or a firewire cable so that would be up to you. It is downloadable on the internet and you can run the camera on a Mac or a PC with the right software.
This is open to CBSAP club members only and the intention is to use them in outreach events that you report to NASA Night Sky Network as a CBSAP club member. I am glad to send them but please dont ask for any if you arent going to use them in the nexty three months for outreach. It costs a fortune to buy them and send them out. I dont want them to sit in someones desk for 20 years.
Bill Edelen and Robert Amdahl are now event coordinators on NSN by the way. They can enter events without me having to approve them now.

Stephen,
I am getting low on glasses and have several scheduled and unscheduled events coming up. Could I get 500 more pair? Also could I get a solar pizza?(I think you call it that)
Do we have a poster that I can put on my sandwich board sign?
I will be at NEAF and you could give me them then, and save postage.

Re: Im mailing out glasses next week. Who needs some?
I'm not sure Stephen?
I have 50 left from the 100 you gave me. I had a look on Tuesday and noticed the sun has finally made it into the garden here so I can now think about bringing in the scope regularly over the summer. I think my 50 pair initial give away was a staff novelty, I'm not sure how many patients I will get each session when sat in the garden.
Only send some if you are sending any to Mark anyway, I wouldn't want them to be wasted when I am not sure how popular I will be over the summer.

How about if I send Mark Townley a large supply. He can distribute them to my UK nerds...
Mark, is that OK with you?

Re: Im mailing out glasses next week. Who needs some?
I guess to be official I do need and I sent you an e-mail Stephen.
Maybe we can all pitch in and get some banners made.
I would like something that can be stretched across table legs?
Also I made some handouts. What are others doing for freebie give aways?
I also burned some CD's with web sight info, pictures etc.

any club member can get whatever banners, business cards, magnetic signs, etc printed through Vista Print on the net for cheap of they want to. I'm not gonna distribute those due to cost.

Re: Im mailing out glasses next week. Who needs some?
Cool man, my glasses are now in Tel Aviv ! Wow!
Mark, let me know if I need to send you some money for shipping..
I am almost out of glasses which means another $25,000 order (50,000 pairs) . Its expensive but I really believe that it is making a difference out there. If anyone wants to have their company logo on the next batch of glasses and wants to sponsor them please let me know. I can use all the help I can get.

Stephen,
I'm involved in organising Solarfest 2012 in Ireland:
http://solarchat.natca.net/index.php/en ... -23rd-june
I sent you a mail last week re CBSAP membership but I know you have been very busy with NEAF.
If glasses or any other material are available, it would be greatly appreciated.
I will leave it to yourself and Mark T. as to whether it is easiest to ship direct from the US or from the UK.
Many Thanks,
Michael.

Stephen,
Can you make an area either here or on one of your other sights to put all of your logos in one place?
In the highest resolution, so we can easily pick them out to get banners, cards etc printed?
I find that sometime trying to cut and paste some of the logs don't seem to work that great off of the sights.
Anyone else have these problems?
Brad

Geesh, I dunno - is 50 too many? I trust you know the best value for postage cost, if I'm saying it right. If the mailer is x dollars, whatever fills it is fine. Donation to come, of course!
I have *logged* one event so far, doing a second tonight, which will be logged. A third is planned for the 26th and a fourth for the Transit.
