Hi All.

This coming weekend (4th, 5th, 6th september) I shall be down representing CBSAP at the Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival with the solar scopes; it's a great weekend with loads going on, and if you can make it pop in!

More details can be found here http://www.the-observatory.org/astronomy_festival_2015

Hope to see some of you there!

Hi All. A good weekend was had at Hersty, the sun finally came out on saturday afternoon, and we were treated to great clear skies pretty much all day on the sunday. Great family atmosphere at the science centre with lots of kids coming along. The SM90 that Stephen donated last year was being used by the local astro societies on their stalls to show folks the sun too. In addition i'm pleased to say we were able to donate a 4" skywatcher scope on a EQ3 mount to the science centre to further aid the great outreach they do both in the daytime but now also at night too. Here's some pics of the weekend in my flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/brierleyh ... 6040869293

Looking forward to next years now!
