SUNTASTIC ! Another wonderful afternoon doing outreach today ! Clear cool blue sky with a nice SUNSPOT for white light viewing...great time to pull out the Lunt SUNCULARS as well. Had a great time with everyone that stopped by to view our closest star the. SUN ! Several repeat folks as well. Looking forward to the next & what will be happening on the solar disk. Clear Skies comments welcomed !

The big monster spot would have been a great target for everyone using the glasses and sunoculars

Hey Gus that round object is a peep or diffraction disk. When you hold it up to your eye you can see how the light spectrum looks bouncing off bumpers or anything shiny..roll it slowly it really cool. You can use it with the CBSAP glasses or by itself and make some nice pics. Mark, your right I really enjoy getting out and interacting with people at the telescopes. I've learned so much on this forum & appreciate everyone's efforts here to make solar astronomy a enjoyable and informative & share that with people who step up to the eyepiece. It's just. SUNTASTIC !
