Large PGR camera donation to CBSAP

Post by solarchat »

Point Grey Research, now FLIR Canada, has made another large donation to the nonprofit that runs this forum and has helped you enjoy this hobby to it's fullest.
PGR gave us 35 firewire cameras from .3MP to 5.0MP that we can pair with our iMacs and ASTRO IIDC and give away around the world. This is approximately $35,000 (US) worth of equipment donated freely to CBSAP. This is the 2nd such donation PGR has made to our program.

PLEASE consider this companies forward thinking support of our hobby when deciding which camera to purchase.

The people that support your forum and nonprofit STEM program are as follows:

Meade Instruments-Coronado Solar telescopes

Celestron

Rainbow Symphony Solar glasses and Diffraction Gratings

Skywatcher USA

Point Grey Research (FLIR)

National Air Traffic Controllers Association

Please consider this support of you ad your hobby when making your purchases.

WOW! that is amazing generosity :hamster:

I have 2 PGR cameras and I love them to bits, fantastic for solar, lunar and planetary :hamster: personally I wouldn't have changed the name though from a top brand everyone knows to something unfamiliar ;)
