Outreach France

Post by Montana »

Obviously the PST came on holiday to Lake Annecy in France, I advertised at the Eurocamp couriers tent and I had a total of 9 people from the campsite come and look at the Sun. Obviously they all got a free pair of eclipse glasses :) . There was one particular old couple who were absolutely amazed and said they would remember it for the rest of their lives. There was also a lucky 3 who got to see the amazing big prom and didn't realise the Sun looked like that.

We then drove home and stopped in Dover after the ferry crossing and popped in to the hubbies Aunt and Uncle's house. They were thrilled to see the Sun and especially get the glasses (see picture). His Aunty is going to go to the transit of Venus as the local astronomical society are meeting on the beach that morning.

So this is my humble outreach,

Regards
Alexandra

Thought you had been quiet on here. Did you guys have a good holiday? Weather has been glorious here. :P

Cheers

Thanks for your support :)

We had nice weather when you had bad weather, then we had bad weather last week when you had good.
We had a lovely time, pity to be back to work.

That's really cool Alexandra.
I would not be able to take my solar on (vacation).
Sounds like you had a great time.
