Thanks Walter and Bill. It was a lot of fun. Had my first Solar outreach with a couple of contractors working on installing the Sewer lines. They were amazed. My 11 yr old came home and was ecstatic. Gonna give it a try with her friends this weekend.

Hoping Santa brings the White Light Wedge for my ES 127.

So now the saving for the Lunt 80 begins.

Thanks for your encouragement.

Chuck I have LS35, It is so portable .When people look through it they are so amazed at what they see through such a small scope. :) A wedge is also on my wish list and I have a LS80, well worth saving for.

I tried but it wouldn't quite come into focus but it did get cloudy yesterday. I guess I need a barlow. Too cloudy today to work with it.

Allright! I can't believe you don't have a Barlow after all these years in astronomy! I wish I had known, I would have just included one in the massive package I sent to you.

When it gets there, unscrew the bottom element and screw it on to the camera snout. Then I expect some awesome images :)

By the way, learning how to do it is fun and it is great when you get a smoking image of a prom or something. Let me tell you though later on, it is 10 times as much fun to just set it yup and let others take the images. We already know we can do it. I like to watch others take their first images.

I get that. When others look into the scopes and do the AHHHHHHH! it is a warm feeling.

I love, during the sissy time, the expressions when they get an image of DSO. Orion never failed to excite. I am sure the same result with the Sun will be just as exciting.
