Club requirements for 2013

Post by solarchat »

Everyone please make sure you have logged at least 3 events and made at least a 1$ donation to the club by the end of the year to retain membership.

Im doing the promised Nov-Dec fundraiser for glasses so you can wait until then if you want or do one now and one then.

Just a reminder for club members.

Logged at least three outreach events on the NASA Night Sky Network where you have shared the Sun with someone or a group of other people.

http://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/login.cfm

international members are bot required to log these if they cannot figure it out, domestic members are.

You ARE required to share the Sun with someone or some group at least three ties per year. Thats what the outreach club is-a group of people doing outreach...:)

So I won't be kicked off CBSAP if I don't log three events at JPL, as long as I contribute to the Solar Viewing Glasses as I promised?

Col, you just need to show the Sun to your next door neighbour, your mother, your father, your brother, the lady down the street :)

I didn't realize becoming a member in the Charlie Bates could be this easy. Is there a form membership with Charlie Bates I need to fill out first before joining the Sky Network ? I'm an amateur but interested in showing people the sun. I have a PST , Lunt 60 & Meade LX 90 with white light filter.

Thanks for help James

Hi James

welcome to that wonderful site. Have sun, fun and the membership fee is of little money. We would like to have 100 $ this year, maybe less or more next year, but we are happy about any donation at all that keeps running that site. Just get the banc/paypal details from Stephen (the BOSS)
