Michael:In PS, I typically do the following:
Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Levels
Red: Move middle slider to 1.7
Green: Move middle slider to 0.9
Blu: Move middle slider to 0.3
May be adjusted slightly from these values depending on the brightness/contrast of the individual image.
Andrea:I use:
RED 1.60
GREEN 0.60
BLUE 0.10
And then stretch the histogram to cover only parts with data (usually between 200-220). Sometimes I also need to adjust the midpoint moving it from 1.00 to the left to lighten the color map (usually no more than 1.40).
