Here is a step by step sequence of how I run batches of images in Autostakkert while I am taking care of other things. It is not as complicated as using Avistack, and does a better job. I ran varius file sizes with it, including some very large ones with no problems. So lets get to it, and get those images of the Sun ready to show the world!

1. Open Autostackert Progam

2. Open Windows Explorer file manager

3. Locate with win explorer the files to be processed.

4. Select all (ctl-click) and drag all the files at once to the OPEN Button in Autostakkert.

5. Set the following check boxes:

X SURFACE
X QUALITY PER AP

6. Hit the ANALIZE button

7. Wait for this first image to analize, and it will finish and say DONE with 100% on bottom.

8. Check the following check boxes:

X OUTPUT TIFF
X % 10 (set this for the percentage of best files to be in the final stack. I go from 1 - 10% usually)

X SAVE IN FOLDERS
PREFIX: AS

Now go over to the frames window - the right one with the image in it.

X MULTIPLE (MAP)
X AUTO AP = 50 (Set this value for the spacing of the align boxes.)

Next click the button:

PLACE APS IN GRID

now the grid is in place and your ready to blaast out all the files!

Click the STACK button and let er rip.

- will run first image, second image, third, and so on without intervention and save all.

- Says DONE when all the images are processed and saved in a new folder it creats with the images called
something like:

AS_P5_MULTI

Now you can copy the images to your processing folders or whatever to do your post processing like wavelets or I-USM.
