you would get nowhere with Milton, who wrote ASTRO IIDC. He won't budge off a copy of it, at any price. No one who owns a golden key will sell it, including me.

No astro company is willing to buy it at his price to sell with their cameras and hardly any astronomers were willing to buy it at $99 when he was selling it. So, we all lose.

Im really at a loss right now on what to recommend to anyone new to the hobby.
I can't think of anything for Mac or PC that you can just go buy and use out of the box with the features that you need for stacking solar on either platform. Its really a sad state.

The Lunt LSI and the SBIG "solar" camera are both there and ready but they are really expensive and only designed to use the single shot method. They both work great but it is a different method than what the majority of the hobby uses. Ive talked to these guys until Im blue in the face to get them to market an inexpensive camera for Mac and PC but no one is interested.
