G1 Solar Storm

Post by Carbon60 » Wed Dec 06, 2017 9:39 pm

Fast flowing solar wind from a large coronal hole sparked a G1 solar storm and polar aurora on December 5th. Here are my magnetometer data showing the event as it unfolded into the night.

Someone no doubt had a good view of the resulting aurora.

Thanks for looking.
