G2 Geomagnetic Storm from CME impact

Post by Carbon60 »

G2 geomagnetic storm resulting from a CME impact, here captured on my magnetometer in the UK and compared with professional data from France (Chambon la Foret). The data match extremely well and illustrate the rapid, transient, nature of the impact event which lasted only an hour or so.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Good stuff Stu if you lived in the higher latitudes these would be a solid investment if you were an Aurora photographer.

I thought it was a bit out of date :) well caught Stu, although only an hour would barely give me time to get out of the door :)
