G1 solar storm

Post by Carbon60 »

Nothing spectacular, but I'll take anything solar at the moment......

G1 solar storm resulting from fast flowing solar wind with partially southerly oriented magnetic field. Captured on my home made magnetometer here in the north west of England.

Excellent!! :hamster:

I got a red warning from Lancaster Uni aurorawatch the other day, then there was a second e-mail saying sorry, false alarm a lawn mower in the vicinity of the sensor set it off. It did make me laugh  careful with your lawn mower Stu :)

Very good! The peaks and troughs on your graph tie in very well with the activity I saw. We'll have to make another movie with sound again :)
