No aurora pics here, but the aurora are in the news today as gusty solar winds from a coronal hole hit our planet last night and energised our upper atmosphere to beautiful effect.
There was a significant spike in magnetic flux through my magnetometer at around 19:00 UT indicating a respectable geomagnetic storm was in progress. Sadly clouds all around and a restricted northerly view meant that I didn't get to see the show. Hopefully some of you did.
Here are the data from September 27th through the set of events until this morning.

I got an alert again but sadly clouds, there were small holes but I know from previously that you need a really clear sky to see anything at all. Well, we can keep hoping for tonight
