Recent minor solar storms

Post by Carbon60 »

A large coronal hole rotating across the face of the Sun has created over recent days some minor geomagnetic storms and beautiful aurora. Below are my magnetometer data tracing out the events as they unfolded and continue to unfold as a G1 storm remains in progress. Look out and look up if you're in an aurora region.

Looking good there, John. All the peaks are there. Maybe a temperature issue around the detector.

Hi John,

Please check out the latest tutorial. Unfortunately it takes a bit more than a foam box and requires active temperature control to remain accurate.
