Greetings Everyone.
Over the course of the winter, I applied some of my previous SHG data to studies of a sunspot magnetic field as well as solar rotation.
If you're interested, here are links to discussions of the results presented in the Cloudy Nights Observational Astrophysics forum.

Excellent results Peter. It shows what can be done with non-professional instruments and a good brain.
Nicely done and well presented.

Re: Some Solar Physics with the SHG
Thanks for your comments, Stu and Mark.
I have to admit I was a little surprised by the capabilities of the SHG. There's a lot of information buried in the data from one observing session.
Stu, your magnetometer results are impressive, easily competing with what the professionals produce. I often read your posts but am guilty of not commenting!
Cheers.
Peter.
