he mentions "dark hydrogyn flocculi" at Hgamma line
I notice that except for H-alpha an active region looks dark in other hydrogen lines
do you guys know why?

It does look like the reverse, nice pics but I have no idea about the physics

Nice shot of the big spot, the plage seems to be dark apart from a bright ring round the spot.

Now try to get a very strong flare in all hydrogen lines
