Geomagnetic storm from CME impact

A few days overdue, but better late than never. Here are my geomagnetic data from over the weekend when Earth received a glancing blow from a passing CME, sparking aurora even down to lower latitudes.

The event was short-lived, lasting only around 12 hours before things settled back to normal.

Wow! that was big :hamster:
Pity it happened overnight as I got all the alerts in the morning when it was light. It was cloudy and raining anyway but hey ho ;)

A good record Stu, I was sat out looking when the storm hit, but couldn't see any activity, just too much light pollution.
