Solar wind continues to blow

A wide gash in the solar atmosphere has been spewing fast flowing solar wind for five days now, sparking G1/G2 solar storms and beautiful aurorae.

Here's a visual summary of the geomagnetic impact as detected by my magnetometer:

Things are beginning to settle down now as the hole rotates from view around the western limb.
