I've collated the daily geomagnetic record throughout the month of July into one chart that illustrates the Sun's sporadic activity over this period. After a promising start, with flares, crackles and pops from AR's 1785 and 1787 we really only ended up with a few passing weak CME's and slightly enhanced solar wind from a coronal hole or two. Nevertheless, these events were sufficiently geoeffective as to be detected on my magnetometers.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

A really awesome presentation. I really like the way you inserted the solar images where activity picked up or changed.

Re: Geomagnetic Activity for July 2013
Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments. Not sure about detecting the Solar magnetic field flip. I think it will depend on how it affects our own magnetosphere, which is influenced by the impact of the solar wind and CME's. Should the flip present enhanced wind speeds and density, or more active sunspots with flares and CMEs, then I'll detect those changes, but not the changes in the solar magnetic field per se. It will certainly be interesting to see what happens though.
Glad you like the presentation Earl.
Cheers.
