Magnetometer record for August 2013
Nothing too exciting for August; just a few minor storms at Kp4 and Kp5 (NOAA G1)caused by a gusting solar wind and the opening of a coronal hole later in the month. The few CME's emitted by the Sun this month were all minimally geoeffective (in other words, they missed us).
Thanks for looking.

That video is way cool! I'm off to Iceland next month for some aurora hunting, i'm hoping to be able to record some timelapse...

Re: Magnetometer record for August 2013
Good luck Mark. Hopefully there will be some good solar activity for you when you arrive.
I'll keep an eye on my magnetometers!
Cheers

Hi Mark,
If you note the start and end times (UT) of any timelapse work, I can check my magnetometer data over the same period and see if there is any correlation with the Aurora you are seeing.
This is what I did in the video and it seemed to work quite well.
Cheers
Stu.
