PST Stage 2 mod (Evostar 102) - First Light

Post by PlaneSkies1 »

Thanks to Ken's instructions, I managed my second PST Stage 2 mod - this time with an Evostar 102 donor scope.
110mm external D-ERF, PST BF5
Previous one was with a very old Tal 100r scope.
First light selection from today attached, which I'm pretty happy with, but think I really need a BF10 or BF15 to avoid the vignetting, which was still apparent after flats applied and so I did a bit of cropping on the images below.
Thanks again for all the fantastic help and advice on this site for modding :D

Attempt at f25 with powermate 2.5x, but a bit too much for the conditions I think

Congrats on the mod! I think the last one shows serious potential for this mod.
My processing sometimes tends to be too hard, but I try for details and less for esthetics, your barlowed one may be processed harder to reveal more IMO.

Regards,
Dirk
