Hi modder gang
as you know, by hasard I came across a Lichtenknecker schiefspiegler (kutter) but not only that instrument has been given away, I took also this one home. Not knowing for what it is. Well I'm sure you soon will tell me ;-)

view on the top of it with a tiny hole

looking sideways on to the big mirror
looking up the to the hole which sits in a mirror
BTW: if somebody needs something to grind a mirror or complete his grinding shop. May be I can be of help. Just drop an email
What is it and for what is it to use ?

Walter,
I think it is some type of artifical star. Light is reflected off the big mirror onto the little mirror, then back off the big mirror and then brightly illuminates the pin hole.

Hi David
thank you very much. Yes that could be the toy I need to align my kutter without having to wait for CS at night. I'll give it a try. I have to find out how it has to be illuminated.

Hi Theo
to me it looks like a bathroom mirror. So the reflecting layer is on the backside of the glass
